Bass Lake Mural Resort 2022

Early summer of 2022 I was approached by the Bass lake Campground caretaker about ideas for a mural for the shower/bathroom building. 

Inspiration for the mural came from videos and pictures that my family was witness to while visiting the campground. Bass Lake’s water is known in the area for being crystal clear. It is also a favorite lake for my freediving wife and children who love exploring the underwater ecosystem. Often coming back with beautiful videos and pictures of creatures and explored habitat. 

Over the course of two weeks the mural began to take form. Layer by layer, it came to life and began to get noticed by the many people who visit and stay at the campground.

One of my goals with the creation of this mural was that it would give the visitors something to remember when they were away from Bass Lake. I would like to think that through the fall and winter, the visitors could remember the mural, picture it in their mind and be excited for the next time they visit Bass Lake Resort. My hope is also that as children become adults, they reminisce about their childhood and that the mural becomes a staple of the amazing experiences Bass Lake Resort gave them.

Knowing what Bass Lake looks like below the water, it is my sincere belief that the mural represents the beauty of this lake and adds to the memories of all the visitors who experience it.
